The Golden Museum was contacted by Jodie, aHistorian, Archives Assistant, and researcher in British Columbia's Fraser Valley. who brings forgotten Canadian stories to life through archival letters and local history. She was given access by the Golden Museum to transcribe a series of letters between Jack & Edith Frost and their friends. She has completed her work and it can be found by clicking on Jack & Edith Frost.

Jack Frost was a mountain guide in Lake Louise in the 1930s and 1940s. In 1930 he met a Edith Stonehouse, a young tourist passing through on her way home to England. For the next two years they wrote love letters to each other and in 1932 Edith returned to Canada to marry Jack. While Jack was away guiding, Edith lived in their home in Golden British Columbia.
