Volunteer opportunities

Volunteers are at the heart of the Golden Museum. With flexible, year‑round roles, there’s a place for everyone who wants to support local history and community connection.

Ways to Get Involved:

Event Support — Help during the Fall Faire, Canada Day, and seasonal programs, from setup to welcoming guests.
Front‑Desk Greeting — Offer a warm welcome, answer questions, and help visitors feel at home.
Artifact Handling — Assist with new donations through gentle sorting, labeling, and preparing items for the archives.
Newsletter & Communications — Share stories, photos, or updates that help keep our community connected.
Exhibit Planning — Contribute ideas for layouts, themes, and visitor experiences as we refresh displays.
Gallery Care — Dust exhibits, tidy display areas, and help maintain a clean, inviting space.
Clean‑Up Days — Join seasonal museum spruce‑ups to keep our building and grounds looking their best.
Errand Running — Support staff by picking up supplies or helping with small tasks around town.
Family Research Assistance — Help visitors explore local history, old records, and genealogy leads.
Project Support — Pitch in on ongoing museum initiatives, from community outreach to exhibit updates.

Volunteering is a chance to learn new skills, meet new people, and help preserve the stories that shape our valley. Whether you’re passionate about history or simply enjoy lending a hand, we’d be thrilled to have you join our team.
