Updated Introduction for the Golden Museum History Camp

When school is out, fun is in at the Golden Museum’s History Camp for Kids. Our week‑long summer camps invite children ages 6 to 12 to step into the past through hands‑on activities, outdoor adventures, and creative play rooted in local history.

Each day brings something new to discover — from historic crafts and old‑fashioned games to behind‑the‑scenes museum experiences and lively scavenger hunts. Past projects have included churning butter the old‑fashioned way, panning for gold, exploring pioneer life, and even “digging up dinosaurs.”

A tentative schedule for this year’s camp is available below. Activities may shift depending on weather and availability, but the spirit of fun and discovery is always guaranteed.

If you think your child would enjoy History Camp, please download and complete the application form below. You can return it by email to museum.golden@gmail.com or drop it off in person at the Golden Museum.

Camp Fee: $235 per child for a full week.

An invoice will be issued once registration is complete.
