Closure for National Truth and Reconciliation

In recognition of National Truth and Reconciliation Day, the Golden Museum and Archives will be closed September 28, 29, and 30.
We pause to reflect on the enduring presence and contributions of the Ktunaxa and Secwépemc Nations, whose deep cultural and spiritual ties to this land long predate our settlement. We also acknowledge the Columbia River Métis Society, whose chosen home in Golden continues to enrich our community through vibrant traditions, education, and outreach. We honour their histories, their resilience, and their stewardship—and we commit to listening, learning, and walking the path of reconciliation together.
